About Tony Holden
Tony has been part of the Australian photography industry for over 30 years. His experience spans the gamut of the industry from photographic retail with George Camera Stores (since renamed Ted’s) through to key positions in leading photo wholesalers, including Maxwell Optical Industries, Kodak Australia and Adeal. He managed the Kodak Imaging team for the 2000 Sydney Olympics; and together with his staff of over 100, was responsible for maintaining the largest digital imaging workflow ever undertaken – managing the capture, storage and display of over 200,000 images and the sale of 80,000 prints over the 10 days of the games.
During his time at Maxwell’s, who where the Australian Agents for Nikon, Tony was the lead educator for Nikon Club Australia, running workshops to hundreds of participants all over Australia.
Tony has served on the State Council of the AIPP’s Queensland Division for over 5 years and has been engaged in numerous planning committees for the AIPP. Until just recently, Tony was the Queensland State Sales Manager Professional & Consumer Imaging Divison at CR Kennedy and Co.
Tony is now contracting his vast knowledge to PROtog, a Melbourne based wholesaler who are the Australian Distributors for 3legged Thing tripods, Jinbei Flash equipment, Ledgo LED lighting and other great products.
Tony’s photographic work is eclectic, having captured everything from International motor sports events to subtle portrait images. His work today is more about the urban environment captured at that precise moment. Tony is also an avid collector of Photographic equipment and cameras and has an extensive private collection.
Holden Imaging Solutions is now based at Foto Frenzy and will provide photographers with data management solutions, colour calibration services and a personalized purchasing service for any photographic needs.
